Politifest brings discussions, candidates to San Diego voters

Politifest looked to prepare San Diego citizens for the midterm elections by presenting candidates and issues all in one place.

Three leaders of three different cities kicked off Politifest with a panel featuring mayors of Sacramento, San Diego, and Tijuana, Mexico on Oct. 6 at the University of San Diego. Politifest 2018 was planned as an opportunity for voters and others to learn more issues and candidates as the November election approaches.

Still time to join record number of registered California voters

Nearly 76 percent of people eligible to vote in California are already registered and it’s not too late to join them.

National Voter Registration Day comes to City College

Voters must be registered to vote before Oct. 22 in order to be eligible to vote on Nov. 6 election.

National Voter Registration Day was Sept. 25 and San Diego City College, along with NextGen America, held a voter registration drive. Armed with free donuts and tacos, NextGen America workers and volunteers helped City College students register to vote in the AH/BT quad late Tuesday afternoon.
