Honors contract submissions
Are you a student interested in contributing to City Times Media as part of an honors contract?
Or, are you a faculty member looking for just the right opportunity for your honors contract student(s)?
Consider submitting your work to City Times Media!
With a valid honors contract on file and permission from a faculty member, students may submit a range of content for consideration by the student editors and producers of City Times Media partners City Times digital news, TV news, magazine and radio/podcast!
Options include (specific submission standards, tips and tutorials deadlines coming soon!)
• Get hands-on production training in our on-campus TV news studio
• Write local song reviews for the monthly playlist!
• Movie or music reviews – Priority given to a review of work produced by an individual tied to City College
• Profile stories – A story written about an individual with ties to City College
• Podcast episodes – Priority given to projects that amplify voices of City College
• Course- or program-specific projects – Is there an opportunity for a partnership based on your course or program? Email CTM Adviser Nicole Vargas at [email protected] to set up a chat to discuss.
• Your best pitch! – Submit your pitch for a project using this Google Form
The fine print:
• Students must submit a signed agreement to the City College Honors Program by the deadline specified
• All honors contracts and projects must be approved by a supervising faculty member
• All submission standards established by the supervising faculty member must be met in addition to those of CTM
• CTM editors and producers reserve the right to edit submissions for length, grammar, spelling, punctuation and journalistic style
• Submission does not guarantee publication
