Looking for something to do this week? Here are some of the exciting events coming up at San Diego City College from March 7 to March 14.

Music Club Open Mic Night, March 12

The City College Music Club is hosting an open mic night.

Students are invited to perform music, poetry, comedy, or simply enjoy others’ performances in C-208 at 2 – 4 p.m.

Students interested in performing can sign up through Google Docs.

Iftar Night, March 11

City College is hosting a special dinner in observance of Ramadan.

Students are invited to break their fast in MS-140 with provided Halal food and to connect with their fellow students.

Students are encouraged to RSVP through Google Forms.

ASG Club Rush, March 12

The second Club Rush of the semester will be held next week on the Gorton Quad.

Students are invited to connect with the clubs and student services at City College.

In addition, the Associated Student Government will be hosting an open house alongside the event in M-200, where students can meet and ask question to members of the ASG.

The event is open to all.

Scholarly Showdown Workshop, March 13

The City College Library is hosting a series of online workshops beginning next week.

In Scholarly Showdown: Library vs. Google, students can expect to learn about how to vet sources of information, the differences between popular and scholarly sources, and when to use each of them.

Students can attend the workshop via Zoom. For more information, visit the City College Library’s website.

City College women’s tennis takes on Grossmont, March 11

The City College women’s tennis team (8-2) takes on Grossmont (3-3, 3-1 PCAC) in a Pacific Athletic Coast Conference matchup at 2 p.m.

The Knights have won six consecutive matches heading into play.
