“Where are you eating out, San Diego?” boasts the San Diego Restaurant Week website.
The event returns for the second time this year beginning Sept. 18 and running until the 23, although most restaurants will likely extend their offers for a second week.
Three course dinners are available on price fixed menus ranging from $20 to $40.
For the first time ever, lunch specials will also be offered this year at participating restaurants. Two course lunch menus will range from $10 to $20.
Reservations are strongly recommended but the event does not require special coupons, cards, or passes for diners to participate.
“This past January, more than 140,000 people participated in the event,” said McFarlane Promotions, a San Diego event coordnator, in a recent press release. “Restaurant Week is able to help bring the city’s vibrant food scene to life.”
The choice of cuisine spans several nationalities and styles, including: Asian, Italian, French and Mexican.
Restaurant Week is held bi-annually with more than 180 restaurants participating throughout San Diego.
