What students should know: “The biggest thing I love to highlight is that we have a … tuition fee scholarship for any students that matriculate through the San Diego high schools and (San Diego) Community College District. So (if) someone graduated from a local high school, graduates with their associate’s degree from City College, they actually are able to apply for that full tuition scholarship. We award 10 each year — all that you have to do is apply.  The most competitive applicants come in with about 24 or above units, 3.0 college GPA, but we award 10 every year and the odds of applying and getting that scholarship are pretty strong for students. We also can do a preliminary transfer evaluation tool so we can let students know what courses will come before they’re required to commit to USD as well.”

Extras: Transfer application deadlines are March 1 for fall and October 1 for spring.
