The San Diego City College Learning Resource Center debuted a newly renovated area for students to study this fall.

City’s library now has a study lounge where students can relax, study and socialize in a welcoming place. The new collaborative study space has tables with comfortable seating all around.

“Students will have the ability to hook their laptops, because a lot of the time, students are doing work on their devices,” LRC chair Leann Mulholland said at a September meeting live-streamed on Zoom.

The lounge is now open to all students and is located in the R building in room 212.

Mulholland said students can expect possible additions to the study lounge in the future.

She also mentioned adding coffee machines and vending machines and making it feel like a vibrant cafe.
