College, city and transit officials marked the opening of the College Station trolley stop in late August. The station, located across from City College in the new Smart Corner development, was celebrated as a modern, clean replacement for the stop that occupied the site before Smart Corner was built. “City College Trolley Station is the beginning of the revitalization of the College Neighborhood of East Village, and we who work and study at the college are excited about our future,” college President Terrence Burgess (pictured left) said at the celebration.
