I believe I am uniquely qualified for the position as President of the Associated Student Government because I posses characteristics that are more or less recommended a student have in such a position in office. The Characteristics that I have that I feel are necessary to have are self motivated, organized, caring humanitarian, visionary, optimistic, and academically orientated. I am confident that I will be adequate in expressing concerns and requests voiced by associated students to the board of directors in an effective manner. For every student has a voice and I believe every students voice should be heard. As President my time and dedication will be primarily devoted towards improving the individual students experience to exceed their expectation. I will put forth my best effort in finding solutions for the concerns that arise from the student body. I will be the “Go to Man” as far as answering questions associated students may have as an individual or on a group basis. As President I plan to exceed the number of expected office hours to insure productivity.

As President I hope to accomplish all that I can for the student body at San Diego City College . One of the concerns that I am aware of is the shortage on parking availability offered to the students. I would propose a fundraising campaign and suggest the organization of a committee primarily focused and in charge of raising funds and awareness of the project. I would recommend that any student concerned with the lack of parking at City College to participate in brainstorming and working together towards finding a practical solution for the problem. In doing so I believe we can solve the problem together for present students and future students to come. A main focus I have would be to make important information readily available to all students at City College . In the age of communication and information it is vital to be knowledgeable of how and where to look for the information pertaining to students interest such as financial aid, housing, academic inquiries, and employment. I would encourage the organization of a group primarily focused on reaching out to the students who are looking for answers not so apparent.

As President I will be personally involved with the student body at San Diego City College as much as possible. The more I am involved the better understanding I will acquire of the hopes, aspirations, and dreams each individual student. Also, I will have a greater understanding of what it is students at City College have concerns for and wish to accomplish to make their academic experience better. I would also like to be able to inform potential students the benefits of pursing a higher level of education after high school. For I believe the best investment people can make in this world is in one another. For I need you and you need me. The ones who are learning today will be leading tomorrow. I would like to thank you for taking the time to consider me as the next President to represent you, the associated students of San Diego City College .
