This Thanksgiving week is going to be busier than usual for travelers to and from San Diego.

Travel by air is expected to surpass pre-pandemic levels, according to AAA.

AAA predicts that Tuesday and Wednesday will be the busiest days for traveling. Thanksgiving Day itself is projected to be a calmer day, but the days to follow will be busy again.

AAA also said California is seeing a major drop in gas prices this holiday season.

The average cost of a gallon of fuel is around $4.50.

It’s also a major decline from the record high of $6.44 in 2022.
