The Knights Women’s Volleyball team won 3-1 against Mt. San Jacinto College on the evening of Nov. 10. This was the last from their home game schedule with the set scores being: 25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 25-8.
Alyssa Dincoff, a City College Freshman, led the Knights with her ninth double-double of the season, with 14 kills and 24 digs,
On the second set, the Eagles could not keep up. The Knights led early at 12-3, and maintained the big lead until the end, 25-15.
“The SDCC team was very scrappy, and our defensive players stepped up in the back row,” said Serinna Eason, the Vikings Coach, as her team won the third set; 23-25, “(and) our outside hitters did a great job finding open spots to hit on the court.”
The Knights closed the fourth and final set with an easy 25-8 victory.
“In our match against SDCC on Tuesday, our team had slow starts at the beginning of each set. We made too many unforced errors in the beginning and we struggled trying to come back,” responded Eason, “… our serve receive passing was not where it needed to be in this match and therefore we were not able to successfully sideout.”
City Times inquired with the Knights’ about their victory, and plans playing their last two games of the season; no response was given.
