The Pacific Athletic Coast Conference announced that San Diego City College’s men’s and women’s basketball players have won several awards.
The women’s basketball team’s (13-15, 6-8 PCAC) season ended Feb. 21, but saw four players recognized by the conference for their play. Freshman Aamori Daniels was named second team All-Conference, while Dahlia Blake, Liliana Maldonado and D’Ajanae Lewis earned Honorable Mention awards.
Daniels led City in points, rebounds and blocks. She averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks per game, respectively.
Freshman center Blake averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds per game, providing a stable presence for the Knights.
Sophomore guard Maldonado finished the season leading the Knights in assists, totaling 119, with 4.3 per game.
Sophomore guard Lewis led the team in steals despite missing the first 14 games of the season. She put together back-to-back 11 steal games against Cuyamaca and Mesa Colleges, respectively.
City College’s men’s basketball team garnered seven total awards, headlined by Logan Huston’s Player of the Year award. A complete list of all of the awards the Knights received is listed below.

The Knights will take on Cerritos College on Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at Harry West Gym in the second round of the 3C2A South Regional Playoffs. The Knights had a bye in the first round, and Cerritos defeated Saddleback College 79-61 in Wednesday’s first-round matchup.
The Knights (23-5 PCAC) received a number six seed in the tournament, while Cerritos (21-8, 9-1 SCC) received the number 11 seed entering play.
