The city’s favorite “music thing” will return this week.
San Diego’s 4th annual Music Thing is a 2-day event, a music conference that takes place Sept 15th and Sept. 16th at the Lafayette Hotel in North Park, which the event calls “…one of San Diego’s thriving arts communities.”
For music fans and those hoping to break into the industry, this is a can’t miss opportunity.
The event features panels and interactive roundtable sessions with industry professionals.
Day time activities will include a trade show, happy hour parties, listening stations and pop up live performances.
Over 150 local, regional, and national bands will take the stage and perform at 14 venues across San Diego.
Those locations include Bar Pink, Claire De Lune Coffee ROom, Eleven, Queen Bee, Soda Bar, The Office, The Sunset Temple Room, The Whistle Stop, Tin Can Alehouse, U-31, and The Casbah.
Featured speakers for the event include Public Enemy founder Chuck D, Wayne Kramer of MC5, music business entrepreneur Martin Atkins, Casbah owner Tim Mays and many, many other music industry professionals.
Two day all-access badges are $55. One day all-access badges are $35. Single venue tickets range from $10 to $18, depending on the location.
