VIDEO: City College Career Center offers services, resources for students seeking support

Upcoming workshops for student success offer industry and career preparation insights

The Career Center at San Diego City College is hosting several workshops through November, both in-person and on Zoom, to help students with their career goals.

The Career Center, located in A-301, is accessible for students who are looking for support with career planning and job search strategies.

Additional resources include assistance with writing resumes, cover letters and interview preparation. 

Counselors are available to help students be ready to achieve their professional goals for their future.

According to a recent Career Center post on Instagram, these are the following monthly workshops available.

Industry Workshops

  • Fire Services Workshop, San Diego Fire Department, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 in Room A-335
  • Industry (Cyber Security, Engineer, Finance & Psychology) Panel Discussion, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 on Zoom 
  • All Things Tech Workshop, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 on Zoom 

Career Counseling Workshops

  • Interview Essentials, 11:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. Sept. 13 and Oct. 18 in Room A-301
  • Pre-Health Careers, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct. 4 and Dec. 6 in Room A-301
  • Career Basics 101, 12:30 p.m.- 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 in Room A-301
