San Diego City College began demolishing the old Childhood Development Center today to make way for affordable student housing.
Three journalists from the City Times interviewed students on campus to get their thoughts on the project.
Q: What are your thoughts about San Diego City College building affordable housing for students on campus?

"I think it's a smart decision on the campus' part. A lot of people can use it to their advantage, especially due to the parking here being trash half the time. It's a really easy way to commute there and back. People who want to go to California schools but don't have the grades or money to invest in uni at the moment, it gives them a good place to kind of put their feet down and get started. Just a smart investment overall, and can definitely lead to some good benefits."
