City Times staff curate, share the best of what’s coming on campus

Here are some of the best things to do next week at San Diego City College, from Friday, Nov. 8 to Friday, Nov. 15

Check back every Thursday to stay updated on upcoming events, activities, and opportunities happening at City College!

Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11-12

This Monday, City College will be observing the national holiday of Veteran’s Day.

As a reminder, all campus facilities and classrooms will be closed during the holiday.

In addition, City College will serve lunch at the A building terrace the following day on Nov. 12 for any who attend.

Friendsgiving Club Rush, Nov. 12

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, the final Club Rush of the semester will occur at 11 a.m at the cafeteria.

Complete with food and drinks, this is the final chance for students to connect with participating clubs this semester.

The event is open to all students.

Parents Morning Out, Nov. 13

Are you a student parent at City College or a parent of a student? The Student Health Center is organizing a meetup for you.

Parents are welcome to come to Curran Plaza at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and enjoy a free cup of coffee and connect with other parents on campus.

The event is open to all.

City College women’s soccer plays multiple times at home

The San Diego City College women’s soccer team will be playing San Diego Miramar College on Friday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. at home and again on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. against Palomar College.

The Knights are led by freshman Desiree Garcia (10 goals, 3 assists) and sophomore Bianca Calafato (9 goals, 3 assists).
