City Times staff curate, share the best of what’s coming on campus

Here are some of the best things to do next week at San Diego City College from Friday, Dec. 6 to Friday, Dec. 13.

Check back every Thursday to stay updated on upcoming events, activities and opportunities happening at City College!

City College Zine Festival, Dec. 9 – Dec. 10

City College Library will host a Zine Festival on Dec. 9 – 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students taking ENGL 101 and ENGL 205 will be putting their zines, originally made for class, on display for all to see.

The event is open to all.

Winter Wonderland Campus Event, Dec. 11

San Diego Promise is filling the campus with holiday spirit by hosting a winter-themed event on Dec. 11 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Titled Winter Wonderland, the event will feature gingerbread house building, festive treats, a scavenger hunt and a raffle.

While the event is open to everyone, only enrolled students are eligible for raffle and scavenger hunt prizes.

Food for the Holidays, Dec. 12

As one final hurrah, the Associated Student Government and the Inter-Club Council are hosting a banquet on Dec. 12 at 2:30 p.m.

All students are welcome. Families in need are further encouraged to apply for food gift cards.

City College women’s basketball plays Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 at Harry West Gym 

The San Diego City College women’s basketball team will be playing in back-to-back days in the Knights’ Crossover Tournament.

The Knights will play College of the Desert, Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. City will be back in action Friday, Nov. 6. At 3 p.m. against Barstow College.

The Knights are led by Aamori Daniels and Dahlia Blake, who are each averaging 14.5 points per game.
