Conversation with the Chancellor, Feb. 26
In a first-ever, San Diego Community College District Chancellor Greg Smith will be hosting a district wide town hall.
Smith will be joined by new Trustees Mariah Jameson and Marichu Magaña, as well as moderate panels regarding the Pride and Undocumented Students Centers across the district.
The event will be hosted at Mesa college in MC – 211 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. City College students can also attend the watch party in MS – 162 or join the event’s Zoom call. For more ways to attend, visit the district’s blog post.

Open Mic Night, Feb. 26
Umoja is sponsoring an open night mic in the City College Black Box Theater.
Students are invited to display any of their skills, whether it be singing, stand up comedy or poetry.
Students can sign up to perform here. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Collard Green Harvest Feb. 27.
City College Mental Health Counseling is hosting a special Black History Month event in collaboration with Seeds@City Urban Farm.
Students are invited to harvest collard greens as a means of connecting with community and embracing tradition.
The event is open to all students and goes down from 12:00 – 1:15 p.m. in A -180.
City College softball plays a doubleheader, Feb. 21
The Knights’ softball team (5-7) will take on Rio Hondo College for back-to-back games at Betty Hock Field. City is led by freshman outfielder Sydney Letzing, who is hitting .455 with seven RBIs through 12 games. The games will start at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
