Library Tours
The City College library will be hosting 30-minute tours to aid students in learning about the library resources.
The library is located inside the Learning Resource Center building near the corner of Park Boulevard and C Street (click here to view a campus map). Students should enter from the B Street bridge.
No registration is required for the tours and there are multiple time slots available. Students who attend the entire event will be entered for a chance to win a $50 bookstore gift card.
The tours will run every weekday from Sept. 2-11. For more information, visit the library’s website.

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Connections Center Grand Opening
The AANHPI Connections Center is combining its grand opening with the fall Asian American Pacific Island Student Mixer at the lower BT Quad on Sept. 3 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Students are invited to eat free food, enter a raffle and enjoy performances hosted by the AANHPI Center.
Students are asked to register here. The first 100 students to register will receive a free t-shirt.

Bienvenida Estudiantil
The library is hosting a welcome event to promote connections between Chicanx and Latinx students, staff, faculty and administrators at the A Terrace on Sept. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Guests can enter a lottery for prizes, such as sweaters and gift cards.
Attendees are asked to register here to attend.

Pride Mixer
The San Diego City College Pride Hub is hosting a mixer at the Intercultural Center in L-206 on Sept. 3 from 9-10:30 a.m.
The mixer will give attendees an opportunity to mingle and enjoy free food.
All students are invited to attend and no prior registration is necessary.
Black Excellence Meet & Greet
Umoja is celebrating the Black community with a meet and greet on Thursday, Sept. 4 on the A Patio.
The meet and greet will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and all students are invited to attend.
Soccer, XC open fall seasons
The City College women’s and men’s cross country teams will have their official kickoff on Aug. 29 at Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa. The women will begin at 9:30 a.m followed by the men at 10 a.m.
The women’s soccer team will have its first game of the season on Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. against East Los Angeles at the Knights Soccer Field, located at 1480 Park Blvd.
Men’s soccer will have its first game of the season the same day against Desert at 7 p.m. at Shadow Hills High School in Indio.
