University Transfer Fair, Tuesday, Oct. 14
The San Diego City College Transfer Center is inviting students to their annual Fall Transfer Fair as part of this semester’s transfer events and workshops on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Over 40 representatives from UCs, Cal States, private/independent colleges and universities will be in attendance at the event. Find it at the A building terrace.

Artist Talk: Claudia Cano, Tuesday, Oct. 14
City College’s World Cultures Program is hosting an artist’s talk featuring San Diego-based artist Claudia Cano.
Cano will discuss her recent works that examine identity and inequality faced by immigrant women on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 3:00-4:15 p.m. at AH-315.
Poetry Slam, Thursday, Oct. 16
The Chicano Studies department invites students to its inaugural poetry slam with a book presentation and poetry reading from the co-founder of performance-poetry group The Taco Poets, Adolfo Guzman-Lopez, on Thursday, Oct. 16, at MS-162.
City faculty, students and community members will also be presenting original poetry.
The slam will run from 11:10 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
Men’s soccer vs Palomar, Oct. 10
The men’s soccer team (6-2-4) has a match against Palomar on Friday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. at the Knights Soccer Field, located at 1480 Park Blvd.
