Dear Editor:
Dear San Diego City College Police Force:
The beginning of the Spring 2008 semester was certainly hectic in terms of parking. The lot at C and 16th saw cars parked anywhere and everywhere, in marked and unmarked spots. Yet, I did not see one ticket on a car, and I’d like to thank you for being so compassionate to students during this time.
When permits became required, it was still rather crowded in the lot. For the first time, I parked at the end of a row of parked cars, as several others had done the same. That day, each car parked in this manner received a $25 parking ticket, cited as a “hazard.” That was in February. Since that time, people have continued to park at the end of rows, but I have only seen these cars ticketed perhaps three or four other days.
Dearest parking enforcers, either ticket all of these cars or none, and let us know which action you intend to take. Your inconsistency is quite a nuisance.
