KNIGHT & DAY: What’s open during Thanksgiving break?

All classes are canceled next week, but that doesn’t mean campus is closed

Next week, San Diego City College will be taking the week off for Thanksgiving. All classes are canceled.

The campus will remain open so critical student services will still be available for those in need. Those that aren’t available will reopen on Monday, Dec. 2.

Here is the list of the services available to students from Friday, Nov. 22 to Friday, Nov. 29

Transfer Center, Monday-Wednesday

Dec. 2 is an important deadline for students looking to transfer for Fall 2025. On that day, both CSU and UC universities require transfer applications to be turned in.

Thankfully, the Student Transfer Center will remain open for students that need assistance filling out their applications.

Counseling Center, Monday-Wednesday

To further assist in meeting transfer requirements, the counseling center will also be open Monday-Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Undocumented Resource Center, Monday-Wednesday

The Undocumented Resource Center remains open Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Financial Aid, Monday-Tuesday

The Financial Aid office is also open to students in need on Monday and Tuesday only, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Veterans Office, Monday-Tuesday

While the Veterans Service Center in M-101 will remain closed during the break, Veterans looking to enroll at City College can still do so on Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
