On Dec. 2, 2024, San Diego City College’s library partnered with Love on a Leash’s San Diego chapter to bring some furry friends to campus.
Parked just outside the library, students destressed with 3 different dogs: Ella the golden retriever, Shaylee the corgi, and Kaia the golden retriever.
The event is part of an ongoing effort by the library to provide students with opportunities to relax over upcoming finals, including activities in the lounge area and book recommendations.
City Times attended the event to capture students’ interactions with the dogs and talk with them about their hopes and anxieties.
