The Child Development Center is still under construction at City College.

The building project is expected to be completed in February 2021, according to the Aug. 2 Rainbow Report available on the San Diego City College website.

Construction projects like the Child Development Center originated from voter-approved building bond programs funded by Proposition S, which voters passed in 2002, and Proposition N, which passed in 2006.=

Props S and N yielded $685 million and $870 million respectively, and they have funded construction on every SDCCD district campus including Continuing Education.

Building plans have included instructional, career training, parking and infrastructure facilities and public safety and accessibility features.
