The San Diego Community College District has now made available online the class schedule for the upcoming summer semester.

New and returning students interested in taking classes this summer can check out what will be offered by the district’s colleges.

At San Diego City College alone, 221 course sections are available, according to mySDCCD portal.

Some of the subjects scheduled to be offered at City this summer include art, English, geology, health and mathematics. Those interested in getting involved in journalism can start by enrolling in DJRN 100.

This story was first reported on today’s edition of News Radio Midday, a bi-weekly radio newscast produced and recorded remotely by the students from San Diego City College’s Radio, Television & Film program. You can listen to the show live at 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday either on 88.3 HD-2 or here any time.

Like the current spring semester, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a majority of classes will be offered online. At City College, certain lab classes such as machine technology will partially be back on campus in a hybrid format. Exercise science classes are also scheduled to take place at Harry West Gym, Morley Field and the Fitness Center.

Registration for the summer semester will be available starting next month. Returning students can find out how soon they can register on their mySDCCD portal. Open registration for new and incoming students will be available starting May 17.

Summer classes will begin on various dates in June and July. They will run through the end of July to mid-August. To check out the summer class schedule, click here.
