The fine art gallery at San Diego City College is hosting works created by local artists with the collective theme of mental health and the ways we deal with it.

The displays in the exhibit titled “Mindful” showcase abstract self-depictions, brutal conceptions of roles within capitalism and memories of childhood trauma, according to the plaques that accompany the art.

The exhibit runs through March 16 in the AH building. The gallery is open Tuesday-Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.
