The annual elections for the Associated Student Government will take place May 11-12.

Students interested in one of 10 leadership positions should apply.

According to the campus website, ASG is the governing body that finances, organizes, and directs many student-sponsored programs and activities at City College.

Open positions include president and vice president, along with public relations, scholarship officer, and safety and environment officer.

“You get to practice your leadership skills, your speaking skills, your presentation skills, and just skills in general that you will be able to take into the workplace,” ASG President Diego Bethea said.

The Election Packet is due by 11:30 a.m.

In the packet, students pick the position they are interested in and share a short candidate statement. Students must also attend an in-person election orientation on April 20 from 2-3 p.m. in M-201.
