Looking for something to do this week? Here are some of the exciting events coming up at San Diego City College from March 21 to March 28.

Tortilla Making Cooking Demo, March 24

The Basic Needs Center is hosting a tortilla cooking demo in collaboration with Seeds@City in T-341E.

Students will be learning how to use Nixtamalization, a traditional technique to prepare corn tortillas.

Attendance is limited to 25 students. To participate, students need to respond via this electronic form.

 

10th Annual New Play Festival, March 21

The 10th Annual New Play Festival will begin this Friday.

Six plays written, directed and acted by City College students will be performed back-to-back. The short plays range in subject from comedic backroom meetings to melodramatic interventions.

Community Connections: County Careers, March 25

The Career Center will be hosting a digital Career Fair over Zoom.

Attendees will be able to learn how to apply for jobs through the Center, speak to hiring experts and answer any questions about the process.

City College men’s tennis takes on Mt. St. Jacinto, March 25

The Knights’ men’s tennis team (9-3, 6-0 IEAC) will play Mt. St. Jacinto at 2 p.m. at the Odus Morgan Tennis courts. City is currently ranked sixth in the state in the CCCAA Southern California Team Rankings.
