City Times staff curate, share the best of what’s coming on campus

Looking for something to do this week? Here are some of the exciting events coming up at San Diego City College from April 25 – May 2.

Check back every Thursday to stay updated on upcoming events, activities and opportunities happening on campus.

Club Rush Fiesta, May 1

The final Club Rush of the semester will take place next Thursday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the MS quad.

Students can connect and learn about the various clubs and student services during this themed event.

The event is open to all.

 

Chicano Student Art Exhibit deadline, April 28

The Chicano Studies program is hosting an art exhibition and wants students to submit their work. The exhibition will focus on resistance and liberation as its core themes and encourage anyone to submit their related work.

The submission deadline is April 28. Students interested in submitting should respond via this electronic form.

The gallery will open on May 8 at 6 p.m. at the City College Library.

 

Monthly Pride Meetup, May 1

The final monthly Pride meet-up of the semester will occur on Thursday next week, with a central theme of self-care.

Located in the intercultural center in L-206., the meet-up takes place from 3 – 4 p.m., with snacks and drinks provided to attendees.

The event is open to all.

City College baseball team plays their final game, April 25

The San Diego City College baseball team (8-26, 3-20 PCAC) will play their final game of the season against Grossmont College this Friday at 2 p.m. at Morley Field. Sophomore infielder Josh Ward leads the Knights with a .357 batting average.
