Sexual battery reported at City College

A San Diego City College student reported an incident of sexual battery while walking from campus March 3.

According to a Safety Alert released by the San Diego Community College District, the incident occurred at approximately at 8:10 p.m. when an unknown suspect pulled the victim behind a dumpster near the Learning Resource Center, placed the victim in a bear hug and grabbed her groin.

The suspect let the victim go but followed her towards the L building where the suspect assaulted the victim again and this time, tried to unzip her pants. The suspect let the victim go. She went into the cafeteria and the suspect fled the area.

The suspect was described as a mid 30-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 150 pounds wearing baggy black pants and a blue shirt, according to the SDCCD Police Department.
