On Dec. 11 – City College students, alumni and staff – gathered at the Las Americas Premium Outlets in San Ysidro.  Together they helped to collect unwrapped toys and new clothing for the Love Thy Neighbor (LTN) movement.  The donations were then delivered throughout orphanages and organizations in San Diego and Mexico.

“This is what I do on the holiday season,” Robert Crouse said.

Crouse, a City College student from 2010 to 2015, started and developed the Bridging the Gap (BTG) organization on campus.  His organization helps the LTN movement and various humanitarian events throughout the year.

“That’s what this ‘Love thy Neighbor’ is about, that’s what this ‘Bridging the Gap’ is about,” Crouse said, “it’s about loving another human being like Jesus loved us.”

LTN confirmed that together they accumulated over 4,000 new items which will be distributed until the new year.
