April 8, 2021
The San Diego Community College District has partnered with San Diego County to assist in distributing vaccines to underrepresented communities.
The Educational Cultural Complex in the Mountain View neighborhood will be a walk-up vaccination site that will be open from Tuesday-Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those prioritized will be the individuals who live in area code 92113, 92102, 92104, according to County Supervisor Nora Vargas.
COVID-19 vaccinations will be open for all ages 16 and over on April 15. For more information about vaccination sites, visit the San Diego County website here.
“The San Diego Community College District takes the word community very, very seriously,” said Chancellor Constance Carroll in a press conference. “We are very proud to actually host this activity on our premises.”
City College students can vote for the 2021 Golden Awards
San Diego City College faculty, administrators and classified staff are being recognized by City College students.
Each year, the Golden Awards give City College students an opportunity to vote on their favorite faculty, administrators and classified staff.
The 2020 Golden Awards winners were Marcos Anzures for Distinguished Faculty, Sylvia Ramirez from Office of Student Affairs and Juana Baca from the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services for Distinguished Classified Staff, and Vice President of Student Services, Denise Whisenhunt for Distinguished Golden Pillar Administrator.
