TIMELINE: The journey of bringing a bachelor’s degree to City College

City College is set to offer its first bachelor’s degree in fall 2024. Here’s a timeline of how it came to be.

Students began applying for the inaugural bachelor’s degree in cyber defense and analysis at City College in Oct. 2023, with classes to begin fall 2024.

More community colleges across the state are starting to offer bachelor’s degrees, giving students more affordable and local options for pursuing a four-year degree.
