Preview: Knights men, women face Grossmont

Women look to rebound against Griffins, while men try to sweep over PCAC rival.

The San Diego City College women’s basketball team looks to rebound from a tough loss at Palomar on Wednesday. The Knights take on Grossmont College at Harry West Gym on Friday at 5 p.m.

It will be the second meeting between the two teams this year. The Griffins (4-15) won the previous contest, 47-41. The Knights (8-11) are in the midst of a down year after consecutive playoff appearances.

The Knights men’s basketball team will follow at 7 p.m., also against Grossmont, at home.

City College (13-10) will try to capitalize against the last-place Griffins (3-20). The Knights are only a game behind PCAC South Conference leader Southwestern College.

A win would keep pace for the Knights men in a tight playoff race.
