San Diego City College men’s basketball team has advanced to the California Community College Athletics Association playoffs, according to sdcityknights.com.

The Knights (23-5, 14-2 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference) have advanced to the postseason in each of the last nine seasons and 13 times since 2001.

City’s record earned the team the No. 8 seed and a first-round bye.

The Knights will host their second-round opener against the winner of No. 9 Cerritos (19-9) and No. 24 Copper Mountain (16-12) at Harry West Gym on Feb. 25. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
