Chris Acedo was a student at San Diego City College when he landed his first job for Stu Segall Productions and Hyatt Interactive, where he worked on movies, TV shows and music videos. While working on a documentary with a local journalist, Acedo was encouraged to join NBC7 San Diego as an editor while he studied journalism at San Diego State University. Seven years later, Acedo was part of the FOX5 San Diego start-up as an editor and segment producer. He also worked as an adjunct professor at City part-time. In 2014, became a full-time professor at City, where he now teaches many of the courses he took as a student and is the department chair.
