UPDATE: Hundreds gather for peaceful protest in Downtown San Diego

On the tenth day after the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer, over a thousand people took part in a protest at Waterfront Park. The protest on June 6 was completely peaceful with people from all races gathered.

The 2019 event was held at the Convention Center in Downtown San Diego for the first time, as a temporary solution., but will be returning to Balboa Park this year for its 106th ceremony.
