Cory Briggs

Aims to take back the city attorney’s office to focus on being a straight-up regular law firm that gives the best possible advice to the mayor and the city council. 

Stands to protect San Diego residents’ quality of life by assisting community planning groups to understand how the rules affect projects in their neighborhoods. 

Core values include being fully transparent, always acting lawfully and consistently striving to reinforce the public’s trust in the government.

Mara Elliott

Launched a gun violence restraining order program and fights for victims of domestic violence. 

Opposes ICE arrests, defends DREAMers and is against President Trump’s Muslim ban.

Wants to protect taxpayer dollars from special interests, cut down lawsuits that impede the Pure Water Project, and save dollars for programs for the homeless, water quality and neighborhood infrastructure.

Pete Mesich

Former San Diego deputy city attorney prosecutor, transportation advisory attorney and former criminal defense and civil litigation attorney.

The main priority is to prosecute criminals firmly but fairly, work on safe, compassionate long-term homeless solutions, and make paths to redemption for minor lawbreakers.

Aims to have an efficient tax collection for recreational marijuana focuses on short-term vacation rental solutions and protecting the environment, privacy and community character.
