Early results show Todd Gloria leads in San Diego mayoral race

Early results for the 2020 California election has shown that Todd Gloria is in the lead to become the next mayor of San Diego.
With 56.71% of the counted votes, the California State Assemblymember is ahead of his opponent, Barbara Bry, who has 43.29% of the counted votes.

Gloria thanked his staff and family for their support for his candidacy in his live speech after the early results ruled in his favor.
Gloria also acknowledged that while there are more votes to be counted, he believed that this early result was a time to celebrate. San Diego is making history with the early results.
