The College Media Association has released the winners of its 2020-21 Pinnacle Awards and San Diego City College’s student media organization earned a pair of major honors.
City Times Media was honored with first place in two categories: best two-year media outlet and best two-year website.
CTTV Newscene also took third place in the two-year TV station of the year category.
“We have an awesome team that, despite the struggles of the pandemic, we worked so hard, from home,” said Vicky Pineda, who was City Times co-editor-in-chief last fall and CTM operations manager in the spring. “A lot of us put in a lot of work to get the best stories out. I’m so glad that our hard work is getting the recognition it deserves.”
