VIDEO: Film focusing on struggles of U.S.-born members of undocumented families coming to City College

A documentary film focusing on the struggles of the first American-born members of undocumented families is coming to San Diego City College on April 12.

The film “Mija” tells the story of two women striving to achieve successful music careers against the backdrop of their families’ challenges. The film was released last year and is directed by Isabel Castro.

The screening will be followed with an opportunity to ask questions about the film and learn more about it.

Co-hosted by City’s Radio, Television and Film and the Music@City programs, MS-162 starting at 6 p.m.
