City Times staff curate, share the best of what’s coming on campus

Looking for something to do this week? Here are some of the exciting events coming up at San Diego City College from Friday, Feb. 14 to Friday, Feb. 21.

Campus Closed, Feb. 14 and Feb. 17

In observance of President’s day, San Diego City College facilities and campus will be closed on Friday, Feb. 14 and and Monday, Feb. 17.

Any classes that were scheduled for Monday have been canceled, and students are not expected to attend.

Financial Aid Workshop, Feb. 18

City College’s Financial Aid office will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday.

Students are encouraged to attend to learn more about all facets of FAFSA, including the application, process, and how to file a financial aid appeal

The workshop takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Undocuchats and Crafts, Feb. 18

The Undocumented Resource Center is hosting their first Undocuchats and Crafts of the semester.

All students regardless of status are invited to the URC to enjoy arts and crafts, and chat with both students and advisors.

The event occurs at 1 – 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18

City College men’s, women’s basketball teams play Valentine’s Day doubleheader, Feb. 14

The Knights’ men will play at 5 p.m. against Cuyamaca in a battle of the top two PCAC teams. If they win, City (20-5, 12-1 PCAC) will clinch a share of the conference championship.

City’s women’s basketball team (12-13, 5-6 PCAC) will play at 7 p.m. against Mesa College in its last home game of the season. The Knights’ sophomores D’Ajanae Lewis, Liliana Maldonado and Ximena Caballero will be honored before the game.
