Theater festival features seven short plays

Words, Words, Words: Festival of New Plays opens this Friday!

The second annual Festival of New Plays showcases seven original productions written by San Diego City College students and directed by faculty. The festival runs for six days over two weeks in the Black Box Theatre, located at AH-320. All seven of the 10 minute plays will be performed at each showing.

This year’s festival will feature:

“The Big Finale” by Cynthia Aloese

“Ouch.” by Michelle Anderson

“It Appeared From Nothing” by Caelan Crockett

“Confused Love” by Aileen Donovan

“Artificial Castling” by Brody Gogatz

“The Rifleman” by Roosevelt Green

“Atoms” by Aaron Newbom

“Teacher’s Lounge” by Carla Zuniga

Showtimes:

Friday, March 10, 17 at 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 11, 18 at 8 p.m.

Sunday, March 12, 19 at 2 p.m.

Tickets:

$15 for general admission

$10 for students, seniors, military, and SDCCD employees

Can also be purchased at the door, but with cash only!
