VIDEO: City College to host 8th Annual Festival of New Plays

The festival opens on March 17 and runs through March 25

The 8th annual Festival of New Plays, hosted by the San Diego City College Dramatic Arts Program, will take the stage for the first time on March 17.

The festival includes eight short plays from students who have written and directed their own work. 

The audience will experience fighting art students, aging witches, a former cyclist haunted by her past, and two survivors at the end of the world.

The plays include:

• “On Your Level” by Mariela Barbosa
• “Something Wicked This Way Scrubs” by Christopher Croucher
• “The First Date” by Victoria Garcia
• “Spokesmanship” by Atalaya Gonzalez
• “In the Corner by the Door” by Scott Krause
• “Clouded Chambers” by Adam Rosenberg
• “We Were Men” by Jesus Sandoval
• “Reveries” by Daniell Verdadero

The event is set to take place in the Black Box Theater through March 25. 

Tickets are $10 for students, seniors, and military and $15 for the general public.
