San Diego City College President Ricky Shabazz will be part of a post-election forum on Nov.4, one day after the election, on the school YouTube channel.

The event is scheduled for 1-2 p.m.

This will be an opportunity, he wrote, to discuss the outcomes of the election and (provide) a space to reflect on what the coming days may have in store.”

Shabazz added that Dr. Masa Omae, Dean Marciano Perez, ASG President Destiny Munoz and a team from City College’s Mental Health Counseling will all be part of the discussion.

In an email to City Times, San Diego Community College District Director of Communications and Public Relations Jack Beresford said this is part of a wider effort.

“As important, each of our colleges and Continuing Education are taking steps to assist students in sharing their feelings following the election,” he wrote. “This includes hosting forums and ensuring counseling support is available.”

Staff writer Paris Hickson contributed to the report.
