City Cooking Challenge host Susana Serrano shows you how to make a vegan stuffed pepper recipe in the City Times Media kitchen with items from the Hunger Action Day food donation drive at San Diego City College.

In today’s haul, the team got fresh produce, pasta, oatmeal and canned goods. Serrano uses cauliflower, canned vegetarian chili, onions and rice cereal to create an easy stuffed pepper recipe. In the video, she also mentions that it’s her first time using an air fryer.

While cooking, Serrano invited CTTV Executive Producer Jillian Fortner to help her finish the dish and to talk about the San Diego Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards. The City Times Media team is up for several awards and will be finding out what they won on October 25.

City Times Media multimedia journalist Joel Nevarez added close-ups of the delicious meal as it was being prepared.

Check out the unboxing video below.
