2019 State of the Union - Donald Trump

City College officials disagree with President Trump’s characterization of the border

San Diego was used by Trump as an example of the benefits of the wall during State of the Union.

President Donald Trump pointed to San Diego as an example for why the government should build a physical barrier along the rest of the U.S.-Mexico border during his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening. City College’s officials, though, disagreed with the president’s characterization of San Diego and the border region as a whole.

District’s Dowd named to state funding oversight committee

San Diego Community College executive appointed to the Student Centered Funding Formula oversight committee.

A 12-member oversight committee has been assembled by California legislators to oversee and report back to state officials on the Student Centered Funding Formula. One of the members chosen to the committee is Dr. Bonnie Dowd, San Diego Community College District executive vice-chancellor of business and technology services.
