The students of City Times Sound debuted the first News Radio Midday show on Wednesday, March 3.

The show is produced by students in RTVF 130, Radio Programming, in a remote setting. All students collaborate from off-campus to create a live-to-tape broadcast, delivering news as if they were in the on-campus studio, which remains closed due to the pandemic.

“I’m proud of what our students are rebuilding,” Professor Chris Acedo said. “They have been working on the latest headlines, podcasts and promos through Zoom. Working from home isn’t easy, and we’ve dealt with everything from power outages to cats taking over the show.”

While the initial broadcasts will be shared exclusively on SoundCloud, they will expand to air on 88.3 HD-2 on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. starting March 15 through the end of May.
