A day filled with frights, spookiness, and horrors is just around the corner. Lost on what to do on Halloween? Here are some of the exciting events coming up on Oct. 31.

Our regular Knight and Day will return Thursday to update on upcoming events, activities and opportunities happening on campus.

Haunted Trails, Sept. 26 to Nov. 1

The Haunted Trails is open in Balboa Park to spook the community throughout the month of October and will continue to be open until Nov. 1.

Tickets start at $42 and the trails are open from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Adams Avenue Halloween Haunt, Oct. 31

Throughout Adams Avenue from Mississippi St. to Vista St. over 40 business locations will be open for trick-or-treating and Halloween festivities to all ages.

The event will also be hosting a costume contest where contestants can win up to $100 in cash prizes. A few categories in the contest are best family or group costumes, best adult costumes and best pet costumes.

Trick-or-treating will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The costume contest will be taking submissions through their Instagram until 6 p.m on Nov. 1.

South Park Halloween Dog Parade, Oct. 31

The South Park community is inviting pet owners to showcase their dogs’ costumes in a parade through the heart of South Park. 

The parade is free and open to the public. Anyone with a costumed dog is welcome to be a part of the parade.

The event begins with a meet-up at 4:45 p.m. on the grass area along 28th Street between Ash Street and A Street. At 5 p.m, the parade will begin, finishing at the South Park Dog Park.

Chula Vista Haunted House, Oct. 31

In Chula Vista, a family-based free haunted house can be found for Trick-or-Treaters on the night of Halloween. 

The haunted house is located on 477 Oxford Street, it will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It is open to all ages.

Halloween Concerts, Oct. 31

Local San Diego bands are getting in on the festivities and are hosting houseshows during the evening where you can dress up in costume.

Some house shows are being presented by Indico and SDS X Frontseat. Further information on the events can be found on their flyers.

Restaurants spooky deals, Oct. 31

Restaurants around San Diego are getting in on the Halloween spirit and are hosting special deals and freebies in celebration.
