San Diego City College’s old Child Development Center could soon be turned into housing for over 600 students, staff and faculty and even unaffiliated community members. City was one of 75 community colleges to receive a grant of over $300,000 to finance the planning of affordable housing projects like this one.

Inside City host Ingrid Estrella talked to Vice President of Administrative Services John Parker about the new off-campus building, which could provide affordable housing to students at about one-third the market rate. That could mean rent of less than $830 per month.
