Chicano Studies Art Exhibition, May 8

The Chicano Studies Program is hosting an art exhibit in the City College Library.

Students have submitted their art to the exhibit with a central theme of liberation and resistance.

The opening reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. on May 8. The exhibit will remain open until May 16.

UCSD Welcome Event, May 8

UCSD is collaborating with the transfer center to host an event for newly admitted transfers on Thursday.

Students who have been admitted to UCSD will be able to connect with other City College transfers, enjoy snacks and get assistance with enrolling.

The event will be held from 1 – 2:30 p.m. in BT-301. Students are encouraged to RSVP via electronic form.

 

Library Workshop Research Rumble, May 7th

The library is hosting an academic workshop on Wednesday.

Titled Research Rumble: Using Opposing Viewpoints, the workshop will focus on proper research procedures and citing scholarly sources, using services provided by the library.

The workshop is open to all.

 

San Diego FC Soccer takes on FC Dallas, May 3

The sports season has ended at San Diego City College, but San Diego FC will take on FC Dallas at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, May 3, at 6:15. Tickets are still available here and on third-party apps.
